Ksa keeps checking slot machines

The New Zealand Gambling Authority (Ksa) conducted investigations into the possible illegal exploitation of slot machines (slot machines). These checks were carried out in the provinces of Limburg and North Brabant, in addition, the regions of Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht were also checked.

The purpose of this control action was to see if previously taken operating licenses actually ensured that slot machines were no longer offered in these places. If these locations had continued to operate slot machines without a license, then that is illegal. Since there is no supervision, the chance of gambling problems is a bit higher.

That gambling licenses are revoked is not new or unique. It regularly happens that a license is revoked on grounds of integrity. The Gaming Authority often finds out about possible abuses by the Public Prosecutor's Office, the police or the municipalities.

An operating permit is also only issued after extensive integrity examination of the applicant and his or her environment/network. If, for any reason, this comes into question, the New Zealand Ksa may choose to withdraw the relevant permit.

Through the aforementioned checks or sampling, the Ksa tries to check whether the withdrawn operating licenses actually cause these locations to stop offering games of chance. If this is not the case, a slot machine can be confiscated and fines can be imposed. Investigation showed that the ex-license holders have adhered fairly neatly to the rules and have not continued to operate slot machines.

Operating licenses of slot machines of chance or dexterity are always issued for a period of 10 years. However, the Ksa can always decide to revoke the license in the meantime. By the way, applying for a license is not free, the cost of a license is $1815.12 once. In addition, you pay an annual gambling tax to the tax authorities and a levy per machine to the Gambling Authority.
